Meet Webvelopment

## Start with the problem your team needs to solve.

Your website, marketing and sales process meet in the same customer conversation. We help you decide what needs to change and bring the right services into the project.

Bring us one task that is harder than it should be. Perhaps customers cannot find the right service, staff copy the same details between tools, or your agency has implementation work waiting. We can look at what exists, what is worth keeping and where a focused change could help.

Webvelopment Engineering covers websites, applications, software and outsourced development. Webvelopment Growth connects strategy, creative, customer acquisition and Africa-facing market work. You can start with either; the proposal should explain how the work fits together and what your team needs to provide.

Our services

## Four disciplines for the work you need done.

Development, Websites, Marketing and Creative Services can support a single task or a project that needs several of them. Start with what your customer or team needs to do.

For example, a quote enquiry may need clearer service copy, a form that asks the right questions and a route to the person who follows up. A sales-system connection may help too, but it belongs in the scope only when the process needs it.

Bring an existing brief, design or system, or explain the problem in your own words. We can identify the deliverables, the material and decisions needed from your business, and the questions to investigate before production.

## Where does your
business need support?

A local business website, an agency backlog and an African market-entry plan need different starting points. Choose the one closest to your work.

How we work

## Clarity at every step.

01

### Understand

Show us the task that is causing trouble, who does it and what a useful result would look like.

02

### Shape

Agree what we will deliver, what you need to provide and how we will review the work together.

03

### Make

Work through the design or build in stages. Use each review to check the result and resolve open questions.

04

### Move forward

Prepare the launch and handover, then agree who looks after the site or system and which improvements come next.

### WordPress vs Custom PHP: Choosing the Right Business Website

Choose between WordPress and custom PHP by examining publishing needs, business workflows, integrations, maintenance and long-term ownership.](https://webvelopment.co.za/insights/websites/wordpress-vs-custom-php-business-website/)

You may know what needs to change before you know which service to ask for. A website is difficult to update, staff copy information between tools, or enquiries arrive without enough detail to follow up. We bring development, websites, marketing and creative services together to help you work out what the project needs.

## Choose the next decision, then the right route

For a local business, start with one customer or staff task that needs improvement. For a Chinese business entering Africa, bring the offer, intended buyer and markets you are considering. For an international agency or product team, show us the work you need help delivering and how your team reviews it.

For example, suppose prospective customers ask for quotes but your sales team has to email each one for the same missing information. The useful first step may be clearer service copy and a better enquiry form. Connecting those enquiries to your sales system could be a separate step. We can help assess the whole flow, then agree which changes belong in the first project and what your team needs to supply.

## Questions before we work together

A few useful answers before you decide.

### What is the best way to start if we need several services?

Tell us what someone is trying to do and where they get stuck. A customer may struggle to choose a service; a staff member may retype an order into another system. We can use that example to identify the work involved and the decisions that need to come first. The next step might be discovery, a website project or a campaign with its enquiry process included. You do not need to prepare four separate supplier briefs.

### Can you improve what we already have instead of rebuilding it?

Yes. Show us what works as well as what frustrates you. Useful content, search history, business rules and connections to other tools can be worth preserving. Before recommending changes, we need appropriate access, a way to recover the existing system and an understanding of what depends on it. We then compare improving it with replacing it. An unfamiliar system may need investigation before we can estimate the work responsibly.

### How do Engineering and Growth work together?

Engineering covers the websites, applications, commerce and integrations people use. Growth connects your offer, message, audience and sales follow-up. A campaign may need a clearer landing page before paid traffic makes sense; that page may also need to send enquiries to the right person. We use the proposal to explain those connections, including who supplies the product facts, approves the message and handles the response.

### What information helps you prepare a useful proposal?

Bring your website address or the names of the tools you use, one example of the problem and the audience you need to serve. Tell us who will approve the work, what content or designs already exist, and whether a budget or date limits the options. You do not need a technical specification to start. The proposal should explain the deliverables, your team’s inputs, third-party costs and any questions that need investigation, along with how you will review the result.

### Who owns accounts, content and the work after handover?

We agree ownership and access in the contract and delivery plan. That includes who controls the domain, hosting, advertising accounts, source code and content, plus any third-party licences. A useful handover should make it clear where the agreed documentation is, how authorised people obtain access and who handles routine changes. Updates and support need their own agreed scope, so your team knows whom to contact after delivery.

### Do you work with agencies as well as direct businesses?

Yes. If you are an agency, tell us whether we would work through your team or speak directly with your client, whose name the work appears under, and who approves a release. Product teams may already have designs and priorities; a direct business client may need help shaping the brief and preparing content. We agree that working arrangement before committing to a team structure or capacity allocation.

### Which markets does the website cover?

Start with South Africa for a local business project. Our China-to-Africa content covers market entry and digital work connected to sales, initially focusing on South Africa. The UK, Europe, Australia and US routes address outsourcing questions for those teams. These guides help you choose a conversation; they do not represent offices or established operations in every market. Language needs and working-hour overlap still need to be agreed for your engagement, even where we publish English or Chinese content.

### How will we know whether the work has been successful?

Before production, agree what you will check together. For a website, can a visitor understand the offer and complete the intended task? For an integration, does a test record reach the right place, and can staff see when something fails? For acquisition, can your sales team distinguish a relevant enquiry from an unsuitable one and feed that information back? These checks help assess delivery. Sales and other business results need their own evidence; launching a site or receiving a form submission does not guarantee them.
