Digital Engineering for Energy and Utilities
Connect energy-sector operational data, controlled workspaces, document workflows and reporting through scoped application and integration work.
Let’s talkCoordinate operational records with clear responsibility

When central and regional teams work with the same operational information, they may need different views and different permissions. We help you work through who supplies a record, who may correct it and who needs its output. Those answers shape the application and integrations around the people using them.
For example, a regional participant might submit a record that a central team uses in a report. Before building that flow, agree whether the report can include an incomplete record and who handles a correction. This is an illustrative planning question; the linked energy case study describes the scope of an anonymised engagement.
Scope the boundary before the implementation
We follow one record through submission, validation, processing and reporting. If several organisations share the application, decide which records each organisation can access as well as which actions each role can take. Then consider the awkward case: a record fails validation or a document cannot be produced. Who sees the problem, who can resolve it and what history will help them investigate?
Security, retention and audit requirements need to be established for your engagement. The sector experience described here does not establish regulatory certification.
Start with a representative workflow
Bring anonymised sample records, a sketch of who may view or change them and an example of a processing exception. We can use these to choose an initial application or integration task and agree how your team will check it. Include the expected output, such as a document or report, so the review follows the record all the way through.
That first workflow should also explain what staff do when processing stops: how they identify unfinished work and what they can safely try again. Capacity and service levels need their own requirements and validation before they can be agreed.
