What changes this estimate

Use this calculator to bring dedicated Xneelo infrastructure, management and approved add-ons into one estimate. Start with what you need to host and what needs to change: an existing environment to migrate, a new server to set up, or ongoing management of an agreed environment. Those choices affect both the initial work and the monthly cost.

We need to understand the environment before we can price it. Keep discovery, implementation, verification and ongoing operation separate in your selections so you can see which costs belong to getting started and which continue each month.

Describe a representative delivery

Tell us what the server will support, then add the requirements you already know: server specifications, environments, additional disks, backup storage and operating system. If you are moving an existing environment, describe what needs to move and who can confirm that it works afterwards. Put any remaining constraints in the tool; an unknown requirement is useful to flag before it becomes a cost assumption.

For example, a server migration may involve setup and verification as well as the move itself. Use the first-delivery option to show where you want to start, and list any dependencies or checks needed before later work can proceed. Quantities describe activities or units of work. They do not establish how long each unit takes, and selecting a plan does not make it an approved fixed price.

Separate infrastructure from managed operation

Compare the server cost and the work of managing it as separate parts of your budget. A useful dedicated hosting comparison needs validated specifications, customer-facing infrastructure prices and an agreed management scope. Current plan availability and supplier inputs remain pending, so the tool collects your requirements without publishing unverified hardware or wholesale costs.

The confirmed management allocation is 10 hours per month at R850/hour, excluding VAT. We still need to agree whether that allocation applies per server, environment or customer before issuing a complete quote. Setup, migration, hardening, backup storage and redundancy each need to be addressed separately. Content editing and application enhancements also sit outside server maintenance. Knowing the management charge gives you one part of the budget; it does not establish the full monthly hosting cost.

Hours, costs and assumptions

Confirmed labour is calculated at R850 per hour excluding VAT. Each selected quantity is multiplied by an approved hours-per-unit value. Base, discovery and complexity allowances need their own approval. If an item still needs approved hours or a price, it remains Custom quote required and prevents a fixed total. Read that label as a cost still to resolve, rather than a zero-cost inclusion.

Managed dedicated hosting includes a minimum management allocation of 10 hours per month, R8,500 excluding VAT, applied to an agreed management scope. That is 10 hours multiplied by R850; it covers the management allocation only. Infrastructure, setup, migration and additional operation costs remain separate and require confirmation. This minimum does not establish a shared-hosting management policy.

Once-off work and monthly commitments are shown independently. Content writing, SEO, subscriptions, platform usage, travel and other external charges are included only when explicitly approved and itemised. International display currency does not change the authoritative ZAR calculation or establish a tax exemption.

Scope boundaries

  • Infrastructure pricing requires a validated supplier catalogue and approved customer resale price.
  • Setup charges require a separately approved customer amount.
  • Server management and content or website maintenance are separate services.

Use the plan to request an estimate

A few useful answers before you decide.

The tool separates infrastructure requirements from management work so we can discuss both parts of the estimate with you. Before requesting a quotation, check that your selections describe the environment, the work needed to get it ready and the ongoing tasks you want managed. Pay particular attention to unresolved amounts and anything that depends on another supplier or an earlier task. Your contact details stay separate from saved session selections. Payment milestones and quote validity require written confirmation.

Explore the related service or compare the original website calculator. The PDF request becomes available only when the secure quotation backend is configured; the page clearly indicates its current state.

Why does this tool show custom quote required?
The hourly rate is confirmed, but an activity may still need approved unit hours or supplier charges. Your selections remain in the estimate, with the missing amounts identified. We can then review those items with you and establish the amounts in a proposal before confirming a fixed price.
Is the result a binding quotation?
No. The scope and any known charges are indicative until reviewed and confirmed in writing. An issued PDF uses server-side calculation and identifies pending items, exclusions, tax treatment and custom payment terms.
