Start with what you have observed, which sites or tasks are affected, and what you need to improve. The estimator separates the audit, remediation, verification and ongoing operation so you can see which work you are asking us to price. The main choices are how much of the site to assess, which findings to address first, and whether you need recurring monitoring after the initial work. A request to investigate a problem needs a different scope from a request to implement fixes from an existing report. ## Describe a representative delivery Bring an affected page or task, any existing audit report, and the details you have about the stack, hosting, site count and traffic. Existing Core Web Vitals evidence is useful for a performance enquiry. Tell us who can arrange access and who will check the result; missing access or an unavailable test environment belongs in the scope discussion. Quantities describe activities or units of work, not an approved promise about the hours each will take. Use the first-delivery option to choose a practical starting point, such as assessing the affected task before deciding which fixes to commission. For a broader programme, list dependencies and the checks needed for each stage. Selecting a plan does not give the underlying work an approved fixed price. ## Prioritise severity and define a comparison baseline We start with representative tasks, available access and the evidence already collected. A visible symptom does not establish its cause, so keep diagnostic work separate from remediation. Use the worksheet to note the severity, the affected behaviour and how you will check an improvement. For example, if a checkout feels slow and an existing report also flags a dependency update, include both findings. Ask for investigation of the checkout and assessment of the update, then agree the fixes once the findings are understood. Treating them as separate items makes it easier to prioritise the work without assuming that the update will solve the delay. Before-and-after testing needs comparable conditions, including device profile, network, cache state and environment. Security hardening and dependency updates are scoped activities rather than a certification. Penetration testing, incident response and forensics require a separate qualified engagement where applicable. Recurring monitoring has its own responsibility and cost; it should not be silently included in an initial remediation allowance. ## Hours, costs and assumptions Confirmed labour is calculated at **R850 per hour excluding VAT**. Each selected quantity is multiplied by an approved hours-per-unit value. Base, discovery and complexity allowances need their own approval. Unapproved items remain **Custom quote required** and prevent a fixed total; they are never silently priced as zero. The initial ten-hour website allocation is specific to the existing website calculator. It is not automatically applied to this service. Where managed dedicated hosting is selected, the separately stated management allocation applies to the agreed management scope. Once-off work and monthly commitments are shown independently. Content writing, SEO, subscriptions, platform usage, travel and other external charges are included only when explicitly approved and itemised. International display currency does not change the authoritative ZAR calculation or establish a tax exemption. ## Scope boundaries - Penetration testing certification requires a qualified provider and explicit scope. - Emergency incident response and forensics need custom scoping. - Remediation effort remains provisional until diagnostics establish what needs fixing. ## Use the plan to request an estimate A few useful answers before you decide. The R850 hourly rate is confirmed, but a selected activity may still need approved unit hours or supplier charges. Your selection stays in the scope with the pending amount identified. We establish those amounts in a reviewed proposal before confirming a fixed price. ### Is the result a binding quotation? No. The scope and any known charges are indicative until reviewed and confirmed in writing. An issued PDF uses server-side calculation and identifies pending items, exclusions, tax treatment and custom payment terms.
