What changes this estimate
The useful starting point for a training estimate is what your team needs to do afterwards: update website content, read an analytics report or carry out a task in an operational tool. We can shape the agenda around that work. Tell us which system you use, how familiar the team is with it and where they need help.
Preparation, session count and online or on-site delivery all affect the scope. A session built around your own workflow may need different preparation from an introduction to a tool. Choose quantities after describing the learning task so we can review what each selection needs to cover.
Describe a representative delivery
Bring one example of a task the team needs to learn. For CMS training, that could be updating a page, checking its preview and understanding who should publish it. Tell us what attendees can already do, where they get stuck and what a successful exercise would look like.
Include the topic, audience size, team experience, delivery format and session count in the tool. Identify who will confirm that the proposed agenda covers the team’s needs. Quantities describe activities or units of work; they do not establish an approved duration for each unit.
Use the first-delivery option to focus on a useful starting task. If you need a broader programme, explain which tasks build on earlier learning and what participants should be able to do at each stage. Selecting a plan does not give the work an approved fixed price.
Build a course agenda with realistic handover outputs
Training effort includes preparation as well as delivery. Describe the audience’s starting knowledge, the tasks they need to perform and the systems they can access during a session. Use the agenda worksheet to connect each topic to a practical exercise and handover material.
For example, an agenda for website editors could pair a page-update exercise with a checklist they can use next time. Specify whether attendees can practise in the system during the session and which publishing steps need someone else’s involvement. These details help us judge the preparation needed and whether the proposed session scope is realistic.
A multi-session programme can introduce a task, allow practice and then review questions. Attendee limits, recordings, custom materials and assessments need explicit agreement. Training does not imply an accredited qualification. On-site delivery may involve travel and venue costs, while online delivery may require third-party tools. Follow-up support and future onboarding should be scoped separately from the original session schedule.
Hours, costs and assumptions
Confirmed labour is calculated at R850 per hour excluding VAT. Each selected quantity is multiplied by an approved hours-per-unit value. Base, discovery and complexity allowances need their own approval. Unapproved items remain Custom quote required and prevent a fixed total; they are never silently priced as zero.
When comparing options, look at the work behind each session as well as the number of sessions. Preparation, agreed materials and practical exercises need to be reflected in the scope before approved hours can produce a useful estimate. Reducing the session count may mean narrowing the agenda or leaving some topics for a later programme.
The initial ten-hour website allocation is specific to the existing website calculator. It is not automatically applied to this service. Where managed dedicated hosting is selected, the separately stated management allocation applies to the agreed management scope.
Once-off work and monthly commitments are shown independently. Content writing, SEO, subscriptions, platform usage, travel and other external charges are included only when explicitly approved and itemised. International display currency does not change the authoritative ZAR calculation or establish a tax exemption.
Scope boundaries
- Travel, venue and third-party training tools are separate.
- On-site travel policy requires approval.
- Certification accreditation must not be claimed without evidence.
Use the plan to request an estimate
A few useful answers before you decide.
The tool prepares a course agenda and handover checklist. Before requesting a quotation, check that the agenda covers the tasks your team needs to learn, that the required system access is available and that pending amounts are visible. Your contact details stay separate from saved session selections. Payment milestones and quote validity require written confirmation.
Explore the related service or compare the original website calculator. The PDF request becomes available only when the secure quotation backend is configured; the page clearly indicates its current state.
