You can pay to bring people to a page and still leave them unsure what to do next. We plan paid media around the whole enquiry: the offer someone sees, the page they reach, the information they submit and the sales conversation that follows.

If you are comparing search and social, start with the role each needs to play. Are you trying to reach people already looking for a supplier, or introduce an offer they may not know to look for? That choice helps shape the campaign, the creative it needs and how you judge the response.

## What we can deliver

- Audience and objective definition: who the offer is for and what you want them to do.

- Channel and campaign structure: how the proposed activity fits together and where the budget goes.

- Creative and landing-page coordination: what the advert needs to say and what its destination needs to explain.

- A measurement plan that connects campaign activity with the enquiries or actions you need to assess.

- Optimisation and commercial reporting that explain what changed, what we learned and what to consider next.

We agree which of these you need, what your team can supply and who will review the work. The proposal should reflect whether you need help with a new offer or an existing campaign.

## How we approach the work

We begin with the intended action and work back through the campaign. For an enquiry campaign, that means agreeing what makes an enquiry useful, checking where it will arrive and understanding who can follow it up. We establish the necessary account access.

Each test should answer a useful question. For example, does a more specific offer attract enquiries for the service you actually want to sell? We agree budget limits and review points before activation, then use campaign observations and sales feedback to decide what to adjust.

## Who this is for

Businesses with a defined offer and capacity to handle the resulting enquiries. We can help you choose a channel, connect advertising with a landing page or investigate unsuitable enquiries.

## Boundaries to agree early

Platform spend is separate from our service fees. Creative production, landing pages and CRM work need their own explicit scope, so you can see what is included and what requires additional work. We agree whether you need planning, delivery or ongoing management. No return on ad spend is guaranteed.

## Questions before we start

A few useful answers before you decide.

### Which channel should we use?

Start with the audience’s likely intent, your offer and the creative you can provide. Search may suit a brief built around an existing need; social may suit one that needs an introduction or demonstration. We assess these starting hypotheses against your brief. Paid search and paid social can be scoped independently.

### What do you need from us?

Share the offer, intended audience, available budget range and current enquiry destination. If you already advertise, explain which enquiries your sales team finds useful and which tend to go nowhere. Include any limits on availability or delivery. We can then assess readiness and propose the first channel workstream.

## Define the commercial pathway before the media plan

Imagine a supplier seeking quotation enquiries for one product range. Its advert needs to make that range clear, and its landing page needs enough detail for a buyer to decide whether to ask for a quote. The enquiry step might then ask for the product and quantity, so the sales team has a useful starting point. This planning example carries no promise of enquiry volume or return.

A narrow offer can make the response easier to interpret than a budget spread across unrelated products. Before activation, we check that the business can deliver the offer and that approvals, accounts and enquiry handling are ready. If stock or service availability changes, the campaign needs to reflect that too.

Channel planning, creative, landing-page requirements and measurement can form one programme. The proposal should still distinguish media spend, production, technical implementation and ongoing management. You can then decide what to commission and what your team can handle.

## Separate media, production and operating decisions

- Set the advertising budget separately from management, creative and development costs. A larger media budget does not supply missing assets or fix an unfinished destination.

- Check that the destination explains the advertised action and lets someone complete it. Follow the enquiry through to the person who receives it.

- Agree what sales feedback will be available. A count of submissions answers a different question from a count of relevant quotation requests.

## Further paid media planning questions

A few useful answers before you decide.

### How is the first objective chosen?

Choose a business action your team can define and support. A purchase, qualified discussion or distributor application each needs different information and follow-up. We consider measurement and your capacity to handle the response. If the objective is a qualified discussion, agree what qualifies it before using that label in reports.

### Do we need to use several platforms?

Not automatically. Each channel adds creative, review and reporting work as well as media spend. We look at the offer, audience, budget and available evidence to decide where to begin. A focused test may resolve the first question before a broader programme is worthwhile. Current account eligibility and platform options need to be checked for the proposed activity.

### What makes a landing page ready?

It explains the approved offer, matches the advert and provides a working next step. We review the mobile experience, the information requested and what happens after someone responds. For an enquiry form, that includes checking that the submission reaches the right place. The page’s promises must also match what the business can fulfil; content and technical readiness belong in the same review.

### Who controls the advertising accounts?

We agree account ownership, authorised access, billing and what information your business can inspect before work starts. The arrangement should let you continue operating if the engagement changes. Share access through an agreed method rather than putting credentials in a general brief. Budget approval, material campaign changes and any essential subscriptions also need clear responsibility.

### What should happen when enquiries are unsuitable?

Ask the sales team to note why in a way they can maintain. For example, are people asking for a product you do not supply, or requesting delivery outside the area covered by the offer? That feedback helps us inspect the message, targeting and destination before recommending more spend. Use a consistent definition of a qualified enquiry.

### How are campaign changes reviewed?

We keep track of what a change was intended to test and what happened afterwards. A creative adjustment and a change caused by product availability need different explanations. Reporting should connect the observations to the next decision without crediting every movement to the latest edit. Where the evidence is still limited, we explain what remains uncertain and what a further test would help establish.

## Prepare your next conversation

Bring the offer, intended audience, budget range and current enquiry destination. Include the page or form people use, who receives the response and any questions about existing campaigns. We can then assess readiness and propose a first channel workstream with clear review criteria.
